I need some Tarot help...

Here's a reading that I just dealt looking at myself and my own magickal abilities. I need help with interpreting this...

In order, for a traditional Celtic Cross:

9 of Swords
7 of Wands

10 of Wands, 2 of Wands, The Emperor, Knight of Wands

Ace of Pentacles, The Chariot, The Hierophant, and the Queen of Wands.

Normally, I can do pretty good readings on myself but this one is about as clear as mud to me.

I'll be screening the comments, so feel free to answer...

Thank the Goddess...It'S FrIdAy!

Just a quick note before I duck out of work.

I'm feeling back at 100%. Hopefully my check is in the mailbox at home. Other than that, not a lot going on.

We have our normal Garou game at 7pm tomorrow back at Coffman. I'll post more later if anything comes to mind while I'm driving home.

Rather belated thought...

About five years ago, a Chicago radio station died. Energy 92.7/5 died and became a Spanish station as "La Onda".

Nowadays, I realize that true dance music isn't just "channeler" music, rather it's also very much Energy. I believe that the reason that Energy 92.7/5 failed is that it was just too much Energy for the Chicagoland area. Chicago is very gritty and industrial. It's generated its own Energry for years and done well enough. The radio station 92.7/5 provided those of us who were aware of it a nearly unlimited source of energy and power for trying to right all the wrongs in the Chicago land area.

Because of that ability to undo many of the things that had been done and also to keep other not-so-pleasant things from happpening...Energy 92.7/5 had to die.

Today, I can tune into XM 82/The System. Satellite delivery of dance music that covers not only the contiguous US but also a good deal of southern Canada as well. Could this be the start of something much larger? No individual market in the US has really had a successful dance station. Could it be that we have to have a nationwide blanket to give us all the Energy?

Just a thought from an early Friday morning. Discuss.

Meme goodness...

The problem with LJ is we all think we are so close, but really we know nothing about each other. So I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Ask away.

Then post this in your LJ and find out what people don't know about you.

Work interferes with LJ...

I accidently closed the wrong IE window at work yesterday, killing my LJ post.

So, it's a double update this afternoon.

*cue the news music*

In the news today...

  • Work today is much slower...

especially compared to yesterday. Call volume is much lower and most of the calls have been simple calls along the lines of where is my order, when did it ship, etc. Today is a bit too slow for my liking, but on the upside, it's not crazed insanity like yesterday.

  • Damn this snow...
and damn the National Weather Service as well. NWS/Chanhassen has been flopping around on their forecasts like a freshly caught fish laying on the shore. In 18 hours from 8pm last night to now, our forecast has changed from "Flurries and scattered snow showers" to a Snow Advisory headline calling for 2-4" of snow to calling for 1-2" of snow. I studied meteorology and I know that forecasting QPF..err...precipitation amounts isn't easy. It's rather tough actually, but I also understand that flip-flopping on the forecast that dramatically and that often lowers public trust and confidence in the forecast product. I'm seriously considering starting to post a forecast for the Twin Cities Metro each day and letting my own accuracy stand up against the NWS forecast.

  • Catching up on sleep...
is a good thing! I went to bed at 9pm last night, woke up and went to the bathroom around 2am, ditto at 6am, then the alarm went off at 9am this morning. I woke up and actually didn't feel like I was weighted down and dragging. Granted, I'm still catching up from last weeks cold, but I'm finally feeling like myself again.

  • Life's A Beach...
until you try writing. I've been sitting on my novel now for quite a while, unable to break through the mental block I had at a certain point. I tried working on other sections, doing character backgrounds, anything to get myself moving on this section. No luck. A couple of nights ago, I sat down and the next thing I knew I had added four pages to things. I was quite pleased with myself.

  • Today's discussion over lunch...
was quite interesting. I had a good 10-15 discussion on the different 'clairs'. Clairvoyance, Clairaudience, and Clairsentience. Amazingly the discussion didn't involve our favorite asshat "Sorvuso". I'm still curious about that name and what it signifies in the grand scheme of things. The whole topic of discussion is doubly interesting since I put my Tarot cards and both books that I have regarding them into my backpack today to bring to work in case it was a typical slow Thursday.

  • Weather Update...
turned out to be very interesting. St. Cloud MN 1" of snow. Alexandria 2". Albany MN (between the two) 5". has to be loving that especially with his 10 mile backroad commute to Sauk Centre. Otherwise, see my above notes on the National Weather (Dis)Service. The long range forecast is still calling for a split-flow pattern over the US. What that means to us here in the Upper Midwest is a mild, dry pattern continues. The bitter cold air is bottled up to the north in Canada and the truly mild air is trapped across the Gulf Coast states.

And that's the news for now...

This is JT, the big bear, saying good night!

    Weekend update...

Well, the cold seems to be going away. I’m still a bit congested in the chest and sinuses, but I don’t feel like I’ve been beaten. I’m still tired and still wear out easily, but that’s normal with getting over a cold.

It was a very quiet weekend. I spent time hanging out with my buddy Jesse (aka Scooter) last night which was a blast, the rest of the time, I was home and either working on the Garou Nation site updates or I was sleeping off the cold.

Not much else to say. I’m feeling rather down for some reason.

I know I’m stressing over trying to get an apartment and financial stuff. This week will turn out to be another tight week. I’m not sure if I’ll get to see outside of game this weekend. I really need to buckle down for a while, get my apartment, and then worry about extras. I have a few major outstanding debts I need to clear up. Outstanding stuff that *has* to get taken care of ASAP totals about $450. That’s on top of my normal monthly budget. *does some quick math* I’ll take care of $125 of it this week. That’ll actually clear up other issues. The other $325 I do believe I“ll have to cough up at once..

Though, once I sat down and ran the numbers...

I can do it. I save up through February and March. I’ll have more than enough saved up to put down my deposit and first month on an apartment. I’m budgeted out for all expenses and seeing what’s left over for rent. I figure I can swing 600-700 per month on rent and still have ”wiggle“ room in the budget. I won’t be running to Melrose every other weekend. Well, I can. I just can’t spend as much on as I’d like.

I have a goal. April 1st. My own place.

Still sick and still draggin ass...

Welcome to Thursday January 12th 2006.

Here are today's news headlines as of 5pm...

  • I'm still sick...

I'm feeling a lil bit better so I'm hoping that it's just a cold that I've managed to beat into submission quickly.

  • Budget woes rock the house...

Oh yeah, I'm so far past broke. I didn't factor in that gas yesterday morning hadn't dedected from my debit card before I went to the grocery store last night. 8-|

  • Work is going well...

I move up to the top line at work in about 10 days. I believe I start on the 23rd. Now if only I got a raise to go along with it.

  • Angelia Jolie is preggers...

And on to more important news...

  • Taking a look at the weather outside...
It's currently 37 with light rain reported across the metro. Sunny skies allow temps to rise into the mid 40s early today before the rain began around 3pm.

That's your JT News Up-to-the-Minute. More detailed coverage on your late local news.

A sick bear is a cranky bear...

Welcome to Wednesday, Jan 11, 2006.

    In today's headlines...

  • I'm sick.

My sinuses are fine, but my throat is sore and my voice keeps trying to give out.

  • I'm broke.

I paid for my truck tabs, my cell bill, filled the truck up with gas, and that was that. I have about $20 to get me through to next Wednesday, when I get to do an oil change in my truck and make my normal truck payment.

  • Work has been busy as shit today.

Swamped in calls, about half my team is out today. It's busy busy busy. Busy is fine with me normally unless I'm sick.

And now for a look at the weather...

  • Today is sunny and temps are near 40.

That's it for now. Just a quick headline news update while I'm at work.

    Congrats <lj user="magwolf_drago">...

Woohoo! got a job. Yeah, it's McDonald's but he's working now. This makes me very happy.

As for me, I'm battling a sinus infection. I left work four hours early yesterday to go to the MinuteClinic and got Amoxicillin for the next two weeks. I'm hoping to kick this out before it gets any uglier. I almost called in sick to work today, but I've made it through the day. The caffiene this morning helped keep me moving along, but now that it's 6.40pm...I'm dragging ass.

I found out last night that Derek (the younger of my two brothers) is apparently getting married in September. So now it's David on July 16th, then Derek apparently around Labour Day weekend. I'm feeling some pressure to get married now. Give and I another six months or so and I'll really be able to think about that question a bit more.

All I know is that our relationship seems very solid and based on a huge set of compatible factors with enough differences that we shouldn't get "bored" with ourselves. I also know that I'm happier than I have been for a long time and that I do love him. Yeah, I love him. Remember the post about asking the Lord and Lady for something? I got what I asked for..

    *smiles*
