Another week of work...

I'm off to do a pickup in Le Sueur, MN today. I love quick and easy pick ups!

Tomorrow I am in at 0430, then "normal" hours on Wednesday and Thursday.

I'm off Fri-Sun and if all goes well, I'll be out camping this weekend as a warmup for the big vacation at the end of August.

I'll post more when I'm down in Le Sueur waiting for my pickup.

It's gonna be an over goal day and it's been steady. The problem is that I am so bloody tired.

Today is gonna be a go home and take a nap kinda day.

Just shoot me...

My cough is back with a vengence. I am quickly losing my voice and have been near vomiting from the coughing.

My alarm goes off in three hours for work. Please let this DayQuil work. I just have to get through today. i should be home by 3pm...and likely right into bed.

Delayed Posting...

I said that I'd be posting more often. I intended it but while I was up in Brainerd, I got a nasty cold. I was in the doctor's office on Friday and was diagnosed with a cold and possible walking pneumonia. Two inhalers, an antibiotic and more DayQuil/NyQuil than I ever want to see again, I'm finally feeling better.

I am actually eating again, tho my appettite is still quite a bit smaller than my eyes, which really isn't a bad thing.

I am seriously thinking of getting back into Garou in the Stevens Point game. I have taken a nice 15 month break from LARP and I am ready to get back into it. I am currently working on writing up a character concept and backstory to be submitted to the HST for approval. It'll be interesting to say the least.

Otherwise, my schedule is pretty wierd the next few weeks. I'm sorta looking forward to high school season, but I also know what kind of stress and chaos it brings. The only real upside to high school season is that it's overtime every week. I averaged about 50-55 hours every week during the spring high school season.

I am working on a budget that finishes paying off my car, sets a steady payment on my student loans that's above the minimum, and also factors in rent, insurance, and all those things for living on my own again.

I'm healthy enough, stable enough, and now I need to put the plan into action. Big goals, big changes, and I'm ready to take them on!

waiting game...

Here I sit in St. Cloud waiting to do my pick up. So far it appears that they are running late. I am sitting here in the van enjoying the sound of the light rain falling on the van and listening to KVSC my college radio station where I worked and volunteered for two and a half years.

All in all, a relaxing evening...

Lunch at Baxter

I got the truck re-loaded and checked out of the hotel by 1030. I drove over to the Country Kitchen just off MN 371 and MN 210. It was slow yesterday at 1015 but today at 1045, it is hopping.

After ordering chicken strips with double fries (in place of fries and mixed steamed veggies), I asked my waitress is they had malt vinegar. She looked at me as if I'd just spoken to her in Esperanto.

As much as I love this area, every lake is hyper-developed and well, it is still deep in the heart of outstate Minnesota.

"We're just a couple of miles beyond nowhere." -- the supervisor yesterday describing where Crosslake, MN is located.

long time again...

I am sitting here in the Country Kitchen in Brainerd/Baxter. I am about to eat breakfast before heading up to Crosslake for a blood drive. I am up here for one more day tomorrow before heading back tomorrow evening.

Yesterday was a wild weather day up here. We has severe thunderstorms just north of here. A total of 4.95" of rain fell in six hours at Brainerd Int'l Airport.

I was laying in bed last night thinking to myself, I need to get back into my habit of forecasting every day and posting to my LJ and Twitter, so here goes.
