Long break...

I'm back at school. I'd forgotten how much I don't care for SCSU and it's warm fuzzy enviroment of multiculturalism and respect.

Stocky Jock's website is all cleaned up with the new galleries added.

I was asked to take over/maintain the Sherburne Hall Hall Council website . Once you've seen it... I'll work on that this week. If I had known about it, I could have spent the day working on it. Oh well :) It'll be a quick easy site to get up and running and also to maintain.

I had a four hour bout of insanity when I put Win2k on my machine and realized that I couldn't do anything that I wanted to do well or effectively.

Granite City Bears is set to have a full official meeting on 10 April in the Sherburne Hall Lounge. I'll be making the announcement at GLBTA's Alliance meeting on Thursday. I need to get myself in gear on the Granite City Bears site and get it done. I'm going to also link it to the Yahoo Group as well.

This is a short update tonight, my head hurts and so does my back. Somehow I've managed to reirritate my back and I'm feeling it big time. I'm in about the same shape as I was back in late October, which doesn't bode well for me physically. It all has to hold together until after 10 May. Once I'm done with this semester, it can fall apart and I'll spend the summer on my back resting. I'm going to get MinnesotaCare if I can then get my steroid shots and spend the summer doing nothing at all and letting myself heal.

It's late and I'm heading to bed. I'll be posting s'more stuff in the morning when I'm not as tired and my back isn't hurting so bad.

habba habba ho and a habba habba hey, another holiday

It's day 2 of spring break and I'm bored to tears already. I need to find a stable sane place to put my computer so I can actually sit comfortably and type and/or code.

My goals for the weekend are a new design for my personal site, that'll go up later. My main goal is to get Stocky Jock all done up this week. That'll be a massive undertaking as I am adding discussion forums, totally revamping the layout to make it much faster, and also trying to fix up some quirks in the database presentation.

It'll be a challenge, but at least it'll be fun :)

Ouch! Reality Checks hurt!

Well, I've finally figured out why I hang out on IRC. Gay.com is great if I want to be ignored and treated as a persona non gratis. IRC I get treated as a piece of meat that people wanna f*ck.

Neither is what I want, but it's at least nice to be found attractive as a sex object at least. It's sad when the cyber-stroking of the ego is all you get...

And people wonder the "older" and "fatter" people in the gay community are so bitter and jaded...

What do I know? I'm just a lonely romantic looking for a husband. If I just wanted to get off, I have a hand and I know how to use it. All too damned well...

Mid-terms...

Well, CMST 192 is officially sucking rocks. Our "group analysis" paper is supposed to be 5-7 pages. Okay, this is annoying. Now, our HURL 102 midterm paper is to be a maximum of two and a half pages long, in 12 pt type, double spaced. I had to majorly cut and slash to get that paper down to 2.5 pages.

The ESCI 230 test was easy. Aaron (Hydro Hottie) was as cute as ever. I am *so* tempted to walk up to him and just tell him I think he's really hot. I'm not sure how he'd react though...

I have ESCI 230 lab tomorrow. The first day of Rivers and Surface Water (WOOHOO). I'm hoping we'll get our mid-term test back tomorrow. I'd like to know how I did. CMST 192 we do our fairy tale presentation on Friday. I'm "Sleeping Beauty" and for it, I'll be pulling out my 'Southern Belle' voice. The rest of my group wants me in a dress. They'll be doing good if I think about doing it with makeup. *laugh* Though if I walked in, in full makeup, wearing a dress and did Sleeping Beauty, it would be hysterical. (and we'd prolly get extra points for it).

Anyways, it's a little after 10. I'm heading off to bed for the night. Most of the natives are out at the bar. I want to be soundly asleep before the drunken masses return to the dorm.

Only 37h and 45m until Spring Break begins!!!!!!!

Spring break projects...new glasses and work on Stocky Jock.

05 March 2002

la la la la la la

Well, it's Tuesday and it's gone. I have my ESCI 230 test at 11am. I meet with the advisor for C. Sci. minor tomorrow at noon. I'm trying to see if I can get some credit for my real world experience with Hockey Net.

I worked on my HURL 102 mid-term paper. I have *no* idea how the fuck I'm supposed to get this entire thing in 2.5 pages and *double spaced*. It's like you have a page to discuss the foundations of race relations in America and how the slave trade and the systematic genocide of the Native Americans laid the foundation for the growth of America and also provided the foundation of race and it's segregation in America.

I found out the Ham Radio club is still around...in parts. The gear is boxed up, the "room" is gone, and the club call is near expiration. If I can get enough people to show interest, I have a faculty advisor lined up and it sounds as if we can get the old room on campus back for use by the club.

So, tomorrow, I'm going to CMST and ESCI (taking the mid-term) and then getting ready to snooze the rest of day away.

Apparently Jason will be off-campus for a while but I have no idea when or where. I'd like to know so I can spend time with Sean and maybe have some quiet time to myself...

SCSU has been having connectivity issues for the 36 hours. We're losing 40-60% of packets at the border gateway router where all the off-campus/Internet traffic goes out. It's an unacceptable situation that it crippling the entire campus. It SUCKS in the worst way. I'm going to talk to ResNET tomorrow and see if I can talk to Darrin. I'm wondering why I never heard anything about once I dropped off my application...

It's not like they need the help *cackles*...

It's only 61 hours until Spring Break starts! WOOHOO!

04 March 2002

Yes, I am.

Well, Jason knows. He wants to avoid the issue. This is good.

Granite City Bears is off to a rocky start. Owen and I will be thrashing out details of leadership, activities, locations, and all that crap tomorrow over lunch.

We got an 86% on our group presentation! WOOHOO! I got a 95 on my "self-exploration" paper in CMST 192 as well. I got all 90s or better 'cept for one 55% on the seven labs/problem sets we got back in ESCI 230. The 55% was due to the fact I couldn't figure out one of the problems, had left it to do later, and well...forgot about it.

It was 7.5 of 15 points, the rest were like 40 or 50 points, so it's not a huge concern.

Still no clue as to what Spring Break plans will be yet...

03 March 2002

WTF am I gonna do for Spring Break? I sure don...

WTF am I gonna do for Spring Break?

I sure don't wanna sit in St. Cloud twaddling my turnips. Spending a few days in the Cities would be nice as I could finally spend some good quality time with Sean. Somehow, I don't know if Joe would freak out on this, but I think he will...

*Yawn*, I do believe Jason has the ability to sedate (or is that just dumb down?) my brain to the point I'm in a mental coma. I'm so in need of finding a couple of people whom I can needle and spar and keep the claws^H^H^H^H^Hmind sharp...

Today is what...(*checks*) 3 March. The high today was *6* in St. Cloud, low tonight of -7 with a high around 15 tomorrow. Normally, we'd be up to a balmy 34 and 15. Well, I knew we were going to pay for the warmth, but this is nuts!

I'd love to spend a week back in Brisbane or just pub crawling down Darlinghurst in Sydney's King's Cross neighbourhood. I think the closest to that I might get would be falling down the stairs in Dan's house after a few too many (read that as one or two) oil cans of Foster's. (Ooooh, I'd be soooooooo happy with Victoria Bitter).

Well, anyways, I'm hoping to know in the next 48 hours where the roommate from hell will be for the Spring Break time frame. I"m hoping Hawaii...Jamaica...St. Augusta, anywhere but here :)

I'm off to work on the "deboo" announcement for Granite City Bears.

02 March 2002

It's a step to the r-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-ght

Joe and I went to see Rocky Horror Picture Show, which was playing at the Heights Theatre in Columbia Heights (MN) in their attempt to set a new world's record for longest consecutive movie viewing time (they have 60 continuous hours of movies on tap).

We got there to find out they were about an hour ahead of the published schedule, so RHPS had started about 25 minutes before we got there 8-(

It was still fun. I'm still giggling at it 2 hours later. It's been a quiet weekend...which is rather nice.

I'll write more once I'm back in St. Cloud later today.

01 March 2002

Hello Blog, my dear friend...

1 June. I'm in Minneapolis. I have been for a few days now. I'm *so* ready to be someplace else. I'm ready to be in St. Cloud. I have a few acquaintances to hang out with there.

I'm sick of wandering around the house here with nothing to do...to the point that I've created myself a list of things to clean while I'm here.

I'm voluntarily cleaning someone else's place for something to do?!

How sick is that?

He has a name...

Aaron Romansky (or something like that).

The hydro hottie has a name :)

Our CMST 192 presentation went well, other than Justin being about 10 minutes late.

ESCI 230 test is Wednesday (WOOHOO!) We're done with Oceans. We're doing rivers and surface water next.

Now to find out what I can about Mr. Aaron, the hydro hottie.

*smiles happily*
