I've spent a good deal of my weekend going back and forth between cleaning house and playing World of Warcraft.
I've done it in waves so that it's not entirely overwhelming.
Our bathroom is clean aside from needing to scrub out the tub.
Our bedroom is better, but my desk is still a war zone. I'll work on that through the week.
Dishes are merrily going along but some big pans will have to wait until I can run to the store and get dishwashing detergent (I know we had some, but I don't have clue where it went). The counter tops and the stove need to be cleaned/scrubbed up and then the floor needs to be mopped.
I'm content so far...all is going well.
I've managed to go up two levels in World of Warcraft while cleaning. Johayan, my Blood Elf Mage is now level 60 and enjoying Outlands.
So I decided it's time to finish the dishes and leave just the counters/stove to be tackled during the week as that's not nearly as bad as the rest.
I tackle it again and cause myself more problems. I moved one of our floor fans to set it up on a chair to vacuum around it...and dropped it...causing all the accumulated dust and cat fur to be released and blown all over the living room...
Yeah, it's definitely time to vacuum...so I get the "better" half and walk into the bathroom to unplug the vacuum...plug it in to the wall in the living room...but there's only one blade. I walk back into the bathroom and the other power plug blade is laying in the sink.
I mean, I really didn't want to vacuum but damn, it needs it. *mutter* So I now get to add a "plug kit" to the household survival kit. I'll repair that this coming weekend along with tackling the tub with scrubbing bubbles...
I'm going to go out here first and try to pick up the biggest clumps of cat fur and dust bunnies...otherwise Buster will have them strung through the house.
Then it's some relaxation time to keep the frustration from being built up and ruining the rest of my night and the start of a new week.

A Weekend in Recovery
Good evening everyone!
It's been a few days since I posted last.
I'm officially out of BI. It was a fun ride, I can't say that I'm comfortable with how the new CCT situation is going ... but that's their issue.
I'm now very much looking forward to Monday morning at 8am and starting a new career path at Best Buy. I won't say that I won't be missing many of my old co-workers as I'd be lying. There are some of them that I will definitely miss more than others...
It'll be interesting to see how many people are in my training class for Best Buy and how many of them make it through training... I know what call centers are like and I know it takes a certain breed of people to work in them...
Hopefully, at the very least, there will be some decent eye candy! Gotta love those fringe benefits!
Well, I've made major progress on the clenaing. Our bedroom is now picked up and vacuumed and most of the dishes are done. I'll finish the dishes later and then head out to get groceries around 9 or 10.
I'm on a "normal" schedule for the next month. I work M-F 8a-4.30pm (traffic hell!).
After Labor Day, I work Sundays from 12.30p to 9p and M-Th 2:30p to 11p. Many people wouldn't like that shift, but it's low/no traffic for me and as I'm a night owl, it won't bother me.
As I told one of my co-workers, every end is a new beginning and every beginning is an end. It's not original and probably misquoted, but it's how I feel right now. I'm very comfortable with the change.
