I can't believe it...

I've actually added like 8 pages to my novel attempt in the last week.

I have a much better grip on my characters and I'm setting them up as I go. It's like a huge dam has broken and all the pent up creativity and inspiration is just flowing out.

My apologies to both and for my completely insensitive and out of place LJ post yesterday.

I shouldn't have posted it publically. I thought it was a private post and once I got back from the work/class/work at 9:30pm last night, I realized it was a public post..but collapsed into bed.

I deleted it this morning when I got up.

Yeah, is right. I can be a thoughtless, hotheaded, insensitive clod at times.

Let's Go Blues!!!

Okay. The Blues are still recovering from the flu epidemic that hit the team.
Pronger looked out of gas after 5 minutes of play 8-\

2-1 after the first. Overall not a bad period there.

4-1 after the second. I do believe the Blues decided to take a break this period. The play was sloppy, rebounds were sitting all over in front of Osgood. Osgood did look good though.

2 power plays in the third brought St. Louis to 4-3 and a flurry of shots in the last :30 nearly tied it.

4-3 Vancouver wins....series tied at 3-3.

Game 7 is Tuesday night at 9:35pm CDT on CBC and some lame ABC owned sports network in the US ;)

That's what friends are for

So (Chris) leaves me a voice mail wanting to know if I want to do something yesterday.

I call him back and say "Sure, what ya have in mind?" and before I'm fully awake and comprehending it all I hear "I'll be there in about an hour."

Okay, that's cool. I get cleaned up and all that jazz. I talk to (Owen) and find out that he and Chris has already talked and he tells me that he'll be over after the gym.

They arrive close to each other about 4:30 and we headed off to Grizzly's for dinner and to wander the mall.

All was good aside from Chris playfully kicking my ass with his boot and messing up my back.

We got back to my place around 9ish after hitting Barnes and Noble on the way back.

Owen and Chris seem to have a wierd chemistry that I can't put my finger on. I like Chris (a lot) but it's just never happened. It's just really odd to have two of your friends having fun while you sit on your computer typing on your novel.

Oh well, as I said last night "At least somebody's getting some in my bed."

So yeah, between that and the wake up call earlier...

I'm real happy.

Aaaaaargh

I was happily asleep until 5:50am. My phone rang. It was the overnight guy at KVSC calling to ask me if I was coming in.

Sunday morning? Eclectic Breakfast? HAHAHAHAHAHA!

I told him no, I do Sunday mornings.

"Are you sure?" he asks.

Our on-air schedule runs Monday - Sunday. It has for as long as I've been there. He looked at it, saw my name in the first column for 6a-9a and assumed it was for Sunday.

I told him if the next DJ wasn't in my six...to call new DJ then call me.

It's 7:40 and no phone call.

I'm getting spoiled working in college radio.

It's been awhile

I've not posted anything for a while. I'll be breaking that habit of not posting.

Alone

I woke up alone.

physically.

emotionally.

It was a hard blow
realizing how alone,
isolated not by choice
but by circumstance

The realization drained me
sapped my joie du vivre
taken the spring in my step

Fate taunts me
by passing men through
who I would ask out
that make me smile
who turn on both body and soul
but the men are untouchable
forbidden heterosexual fruit.

I continue on day by day
waiting for the dark clouds
to leave and for the sun
to shine in again

I will find my partner...

SWEEEET!

I'm the Training Director for summer term and the next school year! WOOHOO!!

I'm so excited. I'll be working with Xakk starting 26 April to slide into the job.

I'll have to be cutting new training carts too...

Wow...I'll have to actually get my sh*t together in terms of learning production. I know the basics, but I want to clean up stuff so it sounds fairly professional.

If anyone has any suggestions for funny music or ideas for getting people to considering training to be a DJ at a hip college station, lemme know :)
