I'm starting a rebuild of Stocky Jock and it's going okay.
I'm trying to incorporate a new forum system....and clean up the navigation system.
I'm slowly working on turning it into a portal as well as the current function of the site.
I'll fight with it more tomorrow...

Well, it was fun...
Windows XP. I was going to move everything over to a safe partition, install XP, move my mail into Bloomba and all would be happy as I could run my weather stuff and all that jazz...
Well, it was all good until XP saw the 40Gb partition and went (OOH! MINE!!) and proceeded to format it.
It formatted right over my mp3 collection. All 3200+ files. All 16Gb.
I have *nothing*.
Even my prized "Burning Flame" video from Vitamin Z is now history.
*sigh*
I'm back on RedHat 9.
I played with fire, I got burnt.

Silly survey thing
Okay, I took this from
CATEGORY EXPLANATIONS:
**food- anything that probably isn't good for you that, if you could, you'd eat a whole package, container, bag, etc... Also if you REALLY like something uber-healthy like broccoli & can eat a whole bag of it in one sitting, this qualifies... though possibly more-so under "dorky" than "guilty". :)
**drink- (see food)
**music- the more "uncool", the better.
**hobby- if you're 35 & still playing with Lego's, this qualifies. But can be anything people wouldn't expect of you & likely something that you usually do on your own.
**tv show- (see music)
**movie- (see tv show) :D
**vice- we all have them... some of them may not be legal.
**favorite curse word- just thought I'd throw that in for shits & giggles.
**fantasy- anything goes
Guilty Pleasures:
Food: Poutine (though I have been known to munch away an entire bag of baby carrots (2lb bag) in less than 6 hours)
Drink: Iced Tea (by the gallon)
Music: Vitamin Z / Dream Academy
Hobby: Bicycling (used to be my fave activity...I'd ride 100 miles a day)
TV Show: E.N.G (early 90s Canadian show)
Movie(s): Babette's Feast (Danish) / Like Water For Chocolate (Mexican)
Vice: not wearing underwear (don't ask me why, but I find it erotic as well as liberating)
Favorite Curse Word: motherfucker
Fantasy: being gangbanged by a rugby team

Wild WIN!
How the hell did the Wild get to the Conference Finals?!
They come back from a series down 3-0 and win it...against Colorado...
And now...the same thing down 3-0 to Vancouver...and come back to win the series in Game 7...
Ya know...I'm very impressed by the Wild. The Wild have shown more discipline and teamwork than St. Louis did all season.

Day 6 of the Severe Weather in the Central Plains...
Dear Goddess...
Moore Oklahoma hit again. What looks to be another F4 or F5 tornado...
Rural Kansas getting hit with 1 mile (1.6km) wide tornadoes. Kansas City metro under the gun again.
I love severe weather.
But don't get me wrong, I do *not* like tornadoes that hit houses/towns.
They are beautiful monsters. They can/will/do kill people and destroy lives and property.
I grew up in Illinois and have seen my fair share of tornadoes but never anything like what the South has been hit with over the last few days.
I'm struck dumb from what I've seen, yet part of me is totally intrigued by the science of why these things happen and trying to understand it. That same scientific curiosity makes me feel sick inside because of the amount of destruction and injury.
100+ injuries around Oklahoma City as of this time with one unconfirmed fatality.
My thoughts and prayers to everyone who has been affected by this weather.

Where are we going...and why are we in this basket?
It's official.
I'm going to hell.
I installed a missing MS-Windows DLL so I could run ByteBlaster (Weather Data Ingest Engine) in 'emulation' under Linux. I have VMWare installed...but I figure, if I can save 160mb of RAM...
Now if only it worked as well as it does in VMWare...
The ingest engine seems to be having problems with timing 8-\
The 'Housekeeper' module doesn't seem to like me either.
Funny, they both run great as seperate applications. If I keep them in their "catch-all" application that does extra things (like notify you of events you set (i.e. warnings for your county, etc) they are chunky and Housekeeper barely runs.
I think I may be stuck living with a 192mb of RAM and a good chunk of CPU dedicated to VMWare (running Byteblaster and Digital Atmosphere) or I'm gonna have to learn some damn fast scripting. Though, if I used something like a basic text widget, I could scan the incoming data file and pop up things I want to see...ideally, I'd like to have it pop up the box and then print the file. They are basic plain text...so it shouldn't be too hard.
Now if only I could get a data ingest engine for Linux. It can't be that hard...
