Well, since the cow-irker who normally takes timecards into Randstad (the company I actually work for), didn’t on Friday.
“I just assumed that everyone did IVR (ed: web based time entry) so I didn’t need to run them in.”
Well f*ck me. I had several payments set to come out on Wednesday including my cell bill, a check for $100 that was our move-in fee, and a couple of other things. When all was said and done, my check *almost* covered the combined overdrafts and then all the damned fees.
So, Chris and I will be scraping pennies together until Wednesday when I get paid and Thursday when he gets paid. After that, we should be settled into our financial rhythm in the house.
I’m hoping we are. I’m sick of this money madness. It’s started making me sick.

How I feel right now...
I woke up alone.
physically.
emotionally.
It was a hard blow
realizing how alone,
isolated not by choice
but by circumstance
The realization drained me
sapped my joie du vivre
taken the spring in my step
Fate taunts me
by passing men through
who I would ask out
that make me smile
who turn on both body and soul
but the men are untouchable
forbidden heterosexual fruit.
I continue on day by day
waiting for the dark clouds
to leave and for the sun
to shine in again
I will find my partner...
someday.
physically.
emotionally.
It was a hard blow
realizing how alone,
isolated not by choice
but by circumstance
The realization drained me
sapped my joie du vivre
taken the spring in my step
Fate taunts me
by passing men through

but the men are untouchable
forbidden heterosexual fruit.
I continue on day by day
waiting for the dark clouds
to leave and for the sun
to shine in again
I will find my partner...
someday.

Well fuck!
Chris had an outstanding check to his former roommate which had been "out" and not cashed for a few weeks. He'd forgotten about it and suddenly it hit and now he's overdrawn just over $200 after NSF fees. I'm tossing over $175 to him for rent (yes, that's well less than half, but I get paid weekly and so next week I'll be buying groceries and gas. That's where I cover more on my side.
We have $925 in income on this and just over 1150 in "outstanding" checks/overdrafts. Yes, that's a $225 shortfall and then we are both tapped and strapped until next Wednesday when I get paid.
We know it was going to be a tight squeeze the first week, but we didn't expect to be crushed.
I'm almost wondering if it would have been cheaper for us to pay rent next week as the the late fees to the complex would have been much cheaper than having the rent check bounce (more fees to the bank and to the rental company) and having that happen on the *FIRST* month we are there.
I'm low on gas and after I put the $175 over to Chris, I'll have $10 for gas to get to/from work tomorrow, Friday and next Monday and Tuesday.
*screams* I just need to win about $350 in the lottery and then I could gracefully make it all slide through...
I took a bubble bath last night and now I'm broken out all over and itching like a fiend. I took benadryl and now it's a battle between scratching myself to death or falling asleep.
I'm ready to go home and just curl up in bed for a long while. I'm starting to stress out and it's not helping with this allergy reaction to the bubble bath. *sigh*

Long lost update...
Howdy gang!
Wow, the difference a week can make.
I'm now happily settled into new digs across town in Woodbury. I'm rooming with one of my co-workers named Chris. He's a rather handsome fella who is also completely straight, but not narrow. We have a 2br/2ba apartment and we're happily settled in to it.
I got a pedometer through work and I'm trying to get into the 10,000 steps per day walking routine. I do a lot of walking at work, but I need to get out and do it at home as well. Chris works out semi-regularly and I'm hoping to start working out with him as it'll give me the motivation boost to start working out again. It'll also help nudge me back into better dietary habits.
I'm also going to get back into the LJ posting habit as well. One of the "regular" posts each day will be a post of how many steps I took the day before. I know it's a dry, boring, and uninteresting post, but it'll help keep me motivated to see it every day. I'm doing well on my medications and being settled into my own place helps as well. I need to just start letting things out.
In other news, it's the first week of May and we still have had almost no severe weather. *yawn* I want STORMS!
I really want to go to the TGN Event Game this weekend. Between the price of gas, the expenses with moving and utilities, and the $45 in fees for the game, as well as having to eat out for dinner Friday night (on the way down), Saturday breakfast and lunch, and then Sunday lunch on the way back. I don't have the $100 to spend on the game as much as I'd love to go. I'd really love to take a tent and sleep outside for the duration as well. I've not gone camping in ages.
Ah well, life is going well.
