Family update...

I just spoke with my step-dad again.

Mom, my two aunts, and my uncle haven't left the hospital since Friday morning. The family and the doctors decided today that they are going to be pulling the feeding tube, the IV tube, and other such things tomorrow morning.

His vitals signs are deteriorating, his kidneys have stopped passing fluid, he is now showing signs of liver failure...

So they are pulling all the "modern medicine" and will be giving him large amounts of morphine and other pain killers to ease his suffering.

They don't expect him to last more than two to three days.

I will try to make a brief LJ post before I fly down. It'll be short notice for me so I may just disappear for a few days when I fly down.

Thanks to everyone who has e-mailed me through the last few weeks. Those e-mails and notes help me more than I let on.
