I’m sitting here drugged up on percocet and valium, which brings the pain and nerve overload of my back/leg down to managable levels, but it keeps me rather dazed and with little short term memory.
I can’t walk/stand for more than about 20 minutes before I start getting weakness and extreme pain in my back and right leg.
I’m really starting to get scared that I something very serious is going on and what the consequences of it all may be.
I’m letting the world flow and placing my trust in the Lord and Lady that it will turn out the way it is meant to turn out.

Hey John, I happened upon your journal while doing some random searches. Speaking from knowledge, inflammed nerves can be very scary because your body isn't working the way it should be. My dad had problems with a different set of inflammed nerves and we thought he'd have some permanent difficulties walking. He followed the advice of his doctor and his physical therapist and in a month he had recovered and his inflammed nerves had healed.
My advice is not to catastrophize about the "what ifs" because you can just go in circles about stuff like that. Instead, think about whatever treatment plan your doctor has given you. If you are still waiting to find out what it is, just do what can not to exacerbate the inflammation.
Hugs! All the best.
