When Mike was heading off to work, visibility at Waukesha was .06mi (yeah, that low) Here at our apt. it was about 500' with vertical visibility of <100'.
I was more worried about the winds since I drive a minivan...30-50 mph crosswinds are a white knuckled nightmare.
We'll have to see about that. I'd rather go up during the day so I can see things. Night flight still kinda weirds me out over land...I can see where things sorta are...but not really. Over water, I don't want to see that there is nothing but water for the next 7000 miles.
But yeah, if it's VFR, I'll certainly consider it.
I can get *to* Madison on 94...but if I get off the freeway, I better be on 51 cuz that's the only thing I know. 51 goes to Beloit (where I can find 43 back to Milwaukee) or back up to 94 (home again).
I've never even been to the UW campus and I'd give my eye teeth to go to school there.

it looks decent here. Almost flyable even.
Yeah, it's improved dramatically.
At 6:30am, I-43 was closed due to a multivehicle accident, same with 94 southbound towards Kenosha. It was a friggin' mess this morning.
At 7AM here, we had good visibility here and this would be considered the south-western half of the state.
does this mean I should plan on taking ya up for a flight if conditions permit? ;)
Also thinkin about hittin the eagle tonight. I've hit my 40 for the week.. not sure if I'm gonna take OT or take off early.
Yeah, but I'm in the south*eastern* part of the state. Close enough to Illinois to get a whiff of the stench on a stiff south wind ;)
I may just have to track you down one of these days ;)

Look forward to 50 degree weather and slightly cloudy conditions when you get here :)
Cool. Gimmie a call when you're in the area.
