Okay, I've made a few mistakes today.
FreeBSD 4.10 minimal install bad. Very bad. FreeBSD is still
solid and the install hasn't changed since about oh...v 3.3 the
first version I'd used. Ports had major issues with things that
didn't exist or versions that weren't yet available in the ports
mirrors.
Gave up on that and tried to reinstall Fedora Core 3 Test 3....and
it was fine until about the 4th thing from being done (600+
packages install, <10 to go...and it chokes on a file...if you dump
out of the installer...you get a broken install...and you can't
skip the offending file...) so it's back to Core 3 Test 2 and
upgrade back up to Test 3...
That's merrily installing away...
