Cleaning, packing, and off-line time...

Okay. I’ve gotten the cleaning done to make way for me to start packing up my life. The only problem I’m having right now is that Sean was out most of the night at the Gary Vampire LARP. I was in bed at 9p and got up at 4:30 this morning.

Things to do:

Garbage from living room and kitchen: done
Dishes: almost done
Kitchen swept and mopped: done
Bathroom cleaned: started (on break from that)

Laundry: later w. Sean
Packing: *panicked scream*

So far so good. The cleaning has come along nicely.

I set up an appointment with Comcast to install cable and internet in Elgin on 21 May. I can cancel said appointment at any time without charge.

Comcast: Cable install is $50, Internet is 49.95/mo, TV is 15.99/mo ... 3 IPs 9.95/mo

Our other option is: Fox Valley Internet’s wireless service...

$49.99/mo, $50 setup, same speed as Comcast. 4 /static/ IPs $20/mo.

I have to talk to Matt today. I’m heavily leaning towards Fox Valley Internet. The question is how soon can they get out and install it and how much do we have to pay up front.

What this all means, I will have very limited e-mail access from work until we get some form of internet installed in Elgin. If you need to get in touch with me, call my cell number or text message me. I can’t really answer my phone at work, but I can check messages and return urgent calls on my break.

Back to cleaning, I need to empty the dishwasher and put in the last of the dirty stuff, then the bathroom, then to start packing stuff up. Oh boy. I’m. so. excited. Packing sucks. Unpacking sucks more.
