The best laid plans...

Chris and I ran by TCF on the way home so I could give him the vast majority of my share of the rent. My share is 425 and I gave him 380. A couple of off expenses kept me from paying him all of it. I’m still very happy that I was able to do 380. I owe him 52.50 for the rest. I contacted my car insurance company. I pay my policy for five months and have a month ‘off’. That also means I’m paying about 6 days in advance for each month and I have a 10 day grace to make a payment. I still have insurance on my truck. I’ll be paying that on the 15th which I can do easily. I’ll still be in Illinois next weekend for Derek’s wedding. Having almost all of rent paid this week and bumping my insurance out two weeks allows that to happen, along with an oil change, and enough money for gas down and back...as well as that week of work. T-Mobile will just have to wait. I’m hoping to pay the past due portion and avoid even a temporary disconnection for the trip down to IL.

Otherwise, we hit KFC for popcorn chicken (mmm...dinner) and then came home. I settled in for a night of writing and opened up my novel and ran down the hall to start my laundry. I looked around the apartment in disgust and that was that. I’ve done the dishes, vacuumed the apartment, cleaned the cat boxes, took out the trash, and cleaned my room. My laundry should be dry here in about 10 minutes. I’m going to fold and hang as necessary as I put it away. Then it’ll be off to the shower and then bed.

I didn’t accomplish anything on my writing tonight, but I feel like I’ve gotten a lot done today.

Because I was able to pay almost all my share of rent, Chris is much happier. I’m much happier that the apartment is now much cleaner and I have clean clothes. I had planned on spending the weekend cleaning, but now all I need to do is mop the kitchen floor and my bathroom floor. I need to do some minor stuff around my room, but damn, I feel *so* much better. Tired, but mentally, I feel like a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders.

*looks skyward and thanks the Lord and Lady*

I don't think I want to see your roommate for awhile...or rather, I don't think he'd want to see me...(he wouldn't be very happy if he did!)

I'm about ready to tell him to just move and be done with it. I'm sick of dealing with him as well.

The only thing is that I'm not going to have a phone for my trip to Illinois next weekend. I'm not going to be able to pay it and make the trip down. Since I got $200 from Dad to go down, I'm rather obligated to go.

Oh well, It'll be kinda nice to not have a phone actually. I won't be disturbed.
