What a week

*(sigh)*

I need a break. The last seven days have been a hell.

Saturday. The Move (day 1)
I started the preparations to move all of Hockey Net from the 2nd floor to the 1st floor. All went well, the phone guys wired up the offices and I was psyched.

Sunday. The Move (day 2)
Oh hell of hells. Dialup down for the entire day. DSL circuits down for 18 hours. By the time I left, I was brain dead (it was also 10am), so after stressing for the last 10 hours straight, and having been up 28 straight hours...

Monday.
All is well. I slept most of the day.

Tuesday.
Awww shit! Dialup down again. Only 5 hours this time due to a wiring problem in the wiring closet for the building. The phone tech for the building accidently crossed a wire for us.

Wednesday and Thursday Quiet happy time. All working happily.
Until I realize that I lost the entire new Hockey Net website. *sigh*

Friday (today)

Sigh.

I slept *way* in today...rolled into work at 3pm. Finally, getting caught up on sleep. I discovered that my office space had been "cleaned and organized" by our bored but overly energetic receptionist/tech support guy Chris.

Okay. This sets the mood for my day. I run Hockey Net's network, but I know where nothing is now. This irks me.

So I decide to head out Bear Bar Night.

I head out and get there. Nice turnout for a holiday weekend and the fact that Bear Pride is going on in Chicago. Just hung out and talked to some people I know. I noticed that a lot of people I do know either wouldn't talk to me or flat out avoided me. I wasn't sure what was going on, but I had a suspicion. A friend of mine pulled me aside and mentioned that my website had generated some flak. I wasn't surprised but to hear mention from a couple of people of things mentioned by my ex started me stewing. Then, a friend of a friend, pulls me aside and asks if he can take Jeremy out to dinner and tells me about how he really wants to just fuck him. I was dumbstruck. I was like "good luck"

As I stared off across the bar, I saw him. I gasped for a minute and was struck by just how beautiful Jeremy is. I mean he's my ex and I don't like him, but damn he's fine physically. My mental musing was interrupted as I started to walk away.

As I started to walk away, my friend's friend pulled me close "You know I've always wanted to suck you off." I was like "Get a fucking life creep!" but I remained civil (why, I have no idea!). His next line "If you said right now, I'd be on my knees." (This is in the middle of the bar!). I looked at him "Good luck." and walked away.

I'm so fed up with so much right now. I mean I'm finally on the right path financially. I'm still in debt, but I'm heading in the right direction. As for men, well, are they worth it?

All my friends nagged at me to come out to the bear bar night...so I did. Most of the people I know, won't talk, the people that did talk to me, well, most of them were trying to pick me up. Though Ryan, the cutest lil deaf bear was totally charming. I've never been so flustered in my life as when I was trying to carry on a sign language conversation with a really cute cub.

Tomorrow, I'm supposed to be heading up to Collegeville to hang out with my friend Owen who's graduating from St. John's. I'm looking forward to a weekend away from the Twin Cities and all the stuff here.

I'm planning on getting entries up more often, hopefully once or twice a week.
