Aaaaaaaargh!

Well, I'm feeling much better today than I was yesterday. I was sick most of the day due to having eating way too much spicy food. I was tossing and turning most of the night and finally got to bed around 3am...Mike's alarm went off at 7...and I barely remember it. I got up at 12:30 this afternoon and felt much better.

I got up, took out most of the garbage from the apartment and my unpacking.

Then I started doing laundry...

There are three washers and three dryers for eight apartments. All is good so far. No one is doing laundry. It's getting better all the time...

One washer is messed up and sitting full of water. Now there's two washers. I load them up...start them...go back up stairs. Go back down 30 minutes later...both are done. One is errored out and won't unlock. Lovely.
I pulled the other load out and got them into the dryer...and wound up doing three loads slowly...in one washer.

I have all but one basket of clothes done now, so I finally have more clean clothes and can wear more than three outfits. However, I only have one clean pair of pants. At least I have clean clothes (t-shirts/shorts) for running around the apartment and such.

Oh well. It didn't eat/shred/destroy my clothes, so it's not the end of the world.

Now, I have to check on the dishwasher, get dinner going, and wait to see what Mike and I are doing tonight. I have a couple of plans, but they are stay-in plans, so we'll see. I know he's wanting to get a router for the cable modem so we can both use our computers at the same time (and have the XBox hooked up as well).

I hope we'll get a couple of small lamps (torchiere lamps would be nice) for a couple of rooms since the den and the bedroom do not have lights on switches so you have to stumble through the room to turn on a light.

Otherwise, the first week of life in Wisconsin has gone well. I'm still somewhat in a daze/homesick expecting to go back "home" to St. Cloud. That and I'm really missing my friends...Larry, Scooter, the Garou gang, and especially KVSC, meant more to me than I realized. I can't wait to get back to KVSC for trivia and see them all...and hopefully manage to get away for the Garou game on that Saturday night as well. Sometimes you don't realize what good friends you have until you move away from them.

Well your laundromat situation sounds better that the one I experience by-weekly in Reedsburg, with the great big female dryer whore peoples, acting like there are just going to envelope you or something. Almost growling at you as you dare try to use there dryers. Well, that is kind of a tall tale but, they almost get like that sometimes. I guess that's is why I go to Culver's when the clothes are drying, to get away for all the laundromat High Drama. hehe
