It's that time...

I just got an e-mail from

He's having his kidney stone removed at 1pm tomorrow. He has to be at the hospital at 11am tomorrow. I'll be spending most of the day there. He should be released around 4 or 5pm...and he should be "back to normal" on Saturday.

Wish us luck..

Good luck, you guys. I hadn't had a chance to say this before, but I am so glad that you found a guy, John. You deserve it. I don't remember you mentioning it in your journal before you were actually already moved. But it is good to hear.

Thanks!

It wasn't really planned or anything. I posted back in December about a trip to Milwaukee...and during that trip, something clicked between a very good friend (and ex) of mine and me.

We broke up a couple of years ago around Labour Day (2001) and parted ways amiciably. It wasn't a great time in his life and it was better all around if we didn't try to maintain a long distance relationship. We've remained friends and my vacation down to visit him proved to us both that we both still had that spark and interest in the other...

The rest is history so they say. It's not like I moved for the job and him on a whim. The job was a necessity, he was an unexpected surprise that makes me very happy.

We're still adjusting to living together and battling with his full size bed. We just bought a new king size and matching bedroom suite last night and it'll be delivered next Saturday. It'll be nice to have room in bed to sleep and sprawl out without starting a fight for the covers and space.

*sigh* I haven't been this happy in my life in years.

Well it is all good to hear.

I know about the bed woes. Rich and I had a full for about a year and finally upgraded to a Queen. And coming this weekend, we will be shopping for a California King because 1) I want the extra room, 2) We're bigger than we were 8 years ago (LOL) and 3) 2 bears + 4 cats = 1 or more bears on floor.

Best of luck on the procedure. Hope all goes well and that everything is "back to normal" on Saturday!
