It's Comcast...
They blew something up here...as the Mount Prospect and Schaumburg "service
areas" (good thing I know a lil bit about this area) are having
intermittent outages and it's being worked on.
Mind you, I could never reach a human being in the *six* times I called in
to verify that our location is in one of those two services areas.
I love the transfer to nowhere...
*growl*
SBC DSL? I wonder if it's an option...

I would be a little leary of SBC Ameritech DSL. I had nothing but problems with their service. I had DSL with them for two years (2000-2002) and in that time I had six months of no service (a 2 month and a 4 month problem) that they just would not fix.
Supposedly they are a little better now but I'll never use them unless I have no other choice.
Comcast supposedly is working on improving its network, I've used them for 18-20 months for highspeed internet and not had a problem; then again I live in the downtown area.
