Off Monday, didn’t do anything at all. Enjoyed the day off.
Tuesday through Friday were a blur. Chris packed up and was ready to ship his stuff on Tuesday night but the UPS store opens at 9am and closes at 7p. He’s not getting up that early to do that and we work until 7pm. I found out that my friend Matt from the Garou game got one of the open positions at BI and he starts tomorrow. Wednesday through Friday were just a long grind at work with waaaay too many people out on vacation and a busier week than was expected.
Friday night, Chris went out to Benihana’s with the crew and I came home to spend some time with
Got up early Saturday morning and loaded up the truck and headed off to the UPS store to ship Chris’ stuff to North Carolina. After that it was off to the airport and dropping Chris off.
Chris is now gone and I started tackling moving my stuff from the bedroom I had been using into the other bedroom. The east facing window with very little traffic noise and the private bathroom were the selling points. I honestly didn’t get all that much done on Saturday as I was spending most of the time cuddled up with Alex. I went out to dinner with Dan and got groceries while Alex was at a family get-together. Alex got back around 11 and it was nice to just be cuddled up and watch some tv.
Today has been a blur of moving stuff across the apartment, cleaning out a lot of crap from the closets, and cleaning out my truck. I’m doing laundry at the moment and the only thing really left to do for apartment cleaning is taking the vacuum to the living room. Other than that, it’s done.
I still have the desk I got from Antoinette and the corner desk from Dan in the other bedroom. If Jody doesn’t want them, I’m going to put them in the dumpster. I just don’t have the rom for either of them in here. As it is, I have about the right amount of ‘stuff’ as my room doesn’t looked crowded up but it also doesn’t look like it’s barren. I strung up my blue rope lights from back when I was at SCSU and they work well as a ‘night light’ and as general lighting as well. I’m still adjusting to how things are laid out in here now.
Jody should be calling anytime to let me know that they are on their way or here. I have no idea when they are leaving/arriving tonight, just that it should be “late”.
Oh well. She’s the one who has to be up at 6:15am, not me. She’ll have a much better commute now though. She’ll be driving to downtown St. Paul to be at work at 7:30am. Out in Maple Grove, she’s had to get up at 5am to get to St. Paul by 7:30. Ew!
I told Jody to call me before she gets here in case Alex was still here, but he left at 10am. I could probably sleep through her moving stuff in tonight!
That’s all the update for now, I’m tired and hungry. I’m going to make myself some dinner and wait for my laundry to get done.
